Hawzah News Agency –The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the activities of the first international scientific conference, which was held by the Department of Intellectual Affairs in the shrine of Radd al-Shams for Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him), in cooperation with Imam al-Kadhem College (peace be upon him)/ sections of Babylon.
The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was represented in this conference, which was held under the slogan: "Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the secret of the creation and the voice of the truth", by the al-Ameed International Center for Research and Studies, the al-Qamar Forum Center and the Hilla Heritage Center, in addition to the presence of a delegation from the Department of Public Relations at the Holy Shrine, and a delegation from the Department of Processions and Hussayni Rites in the Two Holy Shrines. Eighty-one researchers participated in the conference, and the participating countries were: Lebanon, Iran and UK, in addition to Iraq.
The conference opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, by the international reciter Rafi’ al-'Ameri, followed by the speech of the Senior Official of the sanctuary of the Rad al-Shams and the approved agent of the religious authority; Sayed Rasool al-Musawi, saying: "In her auspicious birth day (peace be upon her) and in the Maqam of her husband; the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), we were keen to revive the birth with a scientific conference, to draw inspiration from the biography of Lady az-Zahra, the principles and foundations for facing the challenges of life.”
For his part, the Assistant Dean of Imam al-Kadhem College (peace be upon him) to manage the departments of Babylon, Assistant Professor Dr. Karim Hamza Hamidi, explained in his speech: “The conference brings together three main themes, namely, Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), the honorable Hilla and Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him), praising all the efforts that were made to make this conference a success, to come up with recommendations that will reflect positively on the ground.
Then the singing group at the Imam Hussayn's (p) holy shrine recited a chant for az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and the opening speeches were followed by a scientific lecture on the life of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her). Dr. Mohammad Ali Bahr al-Uloom, professor at the Hawza and Director of the al-'Alamayn Institute in Najaf, gave lecture. Then research discussions were held, which were divided into eight sessions, at the end of which certificates and gifts were distributed to researchers.
The conference met with wide responses, in the presence of great personalities of researchers, professors, and virtuous scholars of the Hawza, and a number of satellite channels and radio stations.
